Here's the scoop on Carla (according to Derek)
November 2, 2003 - Carla's ready to have this baby! Very ready!
Carla is a wonderful wife and mother. She is also busy working with the children at Church. She teaches about 8 piano students and loves to see them learning and progressing. (I'm trying to talk her into telling more about her piano background but she's reluctant right now.)
Notes on Carla's piano
- took lessons for many years from Dr. Irene Peery-Fox (also BYU professor)
- Dr. Peery in top handful of pianists & piano teachers in the Western U.S.
- 60% of Dr. Peery's students are home schooled so they can practice 3 hrs a day, win national competitions
- Carla trained on performance, music theory, critiqueing, teaching
- Carla taught students for 11 years, 6-82 yrs old
- Carla prefers intermediate and advanced students who can progress at a quicker rate
